If you’re a student:
There are loads of things you can do to be involved in SVW2013. If you’re already a volunteer, you can share your experiences with the community by entering our photo competition – or find out what is going on in your local student volunteering centre
If you’ve never volunteered before but you’ve been thinking about getting involved – maybe it’s time to explore what a good opportunity this is. Volunteering is easier than you may think. You give your time to do something useful and in return you get a challenging, rewarding and enriching experience with the satisfaction of time and effort well spent. The range of opportunities is huge. Whatever your skills and experience, there is something that will fit with your interests and your schedule. Contact your volunteering team in your University, students’ union or College to get started.
If you’re a staff member:
We’d love you to be involved in celebrating the achievements of your student volunteers. We’ve got a range of resources on this site that can help you raise the profile of your students’ efforts on campus and in the local community.
Use our media toolkit to spread the word in the local press, or use our photo guide to take great pictures to remind the community about the valuable contribution students make. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to get in touch and we’ll do our very best to support you in making the most of this fantastic week of celebration.
If you’re a charity:
If you have student volunteers in your organisation, we would love to see you showcase and celebrate their wonderful work. Perhaps you could feature a different student volunteer each day, or send a thank you note to them to congratulate them for their hard work and show your appreciation for the talents students bring to your organisation.
We also want you to send in your pictures of student volunteers making a difference for your charity. You can see the current entries on flikr and find out all the details about how you can submit an image in our photo competition section.\

Beyond SVW2013?
Why not join the GIve More movement?
Give More is an independent initiative asking us all to stand up and be counted by shouting about how we plan to make a difference to the world around us.
Visit the Give More website and add your pledge to the growing wall of over 10,000 faces, each representing a pledge to give more. Through joining in you can inspire others, plus raise the profile of the charities or good causes you care about.
If you want more great easy ideas on how to give more you can also visit Give More’s new Give Guide, a free interactive resource which will help you discover plenty of fun, free, simple ways to give.
If you've been inspired to Give More why not make sure that if you're a staff member from a University, College, Students' Union or Charity that you let us know what you're up to, or if you're a student that you look at taking your inspiration and working with your local student volunteering team.
